Three-year review of a capacity building pilot for a sustainable regional network on food, nutrition and health systems education in India

For decades it has been reported that the number of people suffering from hunger globally is declining, sadly this is no longer true, with over 820 million people now having too little to eat as described in the 2019 report ‘The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World’. Unfortunately, we also continue to note an ever-rising epidemic of obesity and overnutrition worldwide (the double burden of malnutrition), which makes ending hunger, and all forms of malnutrition by 2030 an immense challenge. With just 10 years to go for the Sustainable Development Goals, an ambitious global effort is underway to deliver the 2030 promise. With the requirement for all to play a part in pushing forward to generate and maintain momentum to drive these promises forward, it must be encouraged for the scientific community to continue playing their part and coordinating their efforts. As such we have created this Special collection to share contributions to the field.
Submissions to this collection should focus on addressing the global policies described above including but not exclusively:
